The 7th session of Forest Culture Seminar was held on June 2017 in Guiyang, with Beijing Forestry University and Specialized Committee on Ecological and Environmental Psychology of Chinese Association of Social Psychology, Forestry History Branch of Chinese Society of Forestry, Research Center of Ecological Tourism Development of Beijing Forestry University.

Total 40 scholars were in the seminar, and they are from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Tongji University, Sichuan University, Sichuan Agricultural University, Soochow University, Southwest Forestry University, Fujian Agriculture And Forestry University, Hubei University of Technology, Weinan Vocational and Technical College, China Academy of Social Sciences, China Academy of Forestry, Chinese Giant Panda Protection and Research Center, the State Forestry Bureau of Kunming Survey and Design Institute, Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, Guangzhou Zhengbuyuan Court Arts and Crafts Co. , and Beijing Forestry University.

They discussed and exchanged academic understandings on 4 themes of forest culture, forestry history, forest and mental health, institutional constructions of national parks, etc, and 29 of them presented their researches on forest culture in economy, forestry, psychology, landscape, architecture, archaeology, philosophy from the macro and micro perspectives. The contents of their presentations cover a wide range of information and thoughts. This seminar successfully provided a platform for the scholars to show their research results and exchange academic opinions.

Forest culture plays an irreplaceable role in the history and culture development of a country. The development of forest culture not only needs to inherit traditional culture, also needs to organically combine with the modern forest industry, for enhancing the competitiveness of forestry industry, innovating forest culture products and benefiting to society, thus truly having the sustainable development of forestry. Forest Culture Seminar is organized by editorial team of "Journal of Beijing Forestry University (Social Science Edition) � in every 2 years.
