Abstract:In China, nature reserves have grown greatly in number, but the building of national parks is still in the process of exploration. In this sense, the experiences and lessons that foreign countries have got in building their national parks are worth learning. This paper studies the national parks in Spain, overviewing their history, selection standard, current situation of their development and classifications. The management system of Spain's national parks is also analyzed in terms of legislative system, managerial institutions, and management mechanism. Three hierarchies of legislative system for national parks in Spain are identified, and the approval system, management planning system, financial input system, protection system and public participation system of Spain's national parks management are also summarized. Finally, the inspirations of Spain's national park management system for the building of national park system in China is discussed based on the present condition of China's nature reserves from five aspects: the building of legislative system, management mechanism, planning system, strict protection and public participation.
