On January 22, coinciding with the Lunar Xiaonian (Minor New Year), Beijing Forestry University’s International College organized a cultural celebration, bringing together students and faculty from diverse backgrounds to participate in traditional activities such as festive quiz games and hands-on dumpling-making sessions.
The event began with an engaging cultural immersion session, where international students delved into traditional Spring Festival practices, including the symbolic hanging of red couplets and the festive tradition of firecracker displays.
The highlight of the event, a hands-on dumpling-making workshop, saw participants mastering culinary techniques under chefs' guidance, creating uniquely shaped dumplings that symbolized both New Year wishes and cross-cultural connections.
The event successfully bridged cultural understanding through immersive experiences, enabling international students to gain authentic insights into Chinese traditions while promoting meaningful cross-cultural dialogue and exchange.
