China Philharmonic Orchestra to perform at Campus Charity Concert and 2025 BFU New Year's Concert

Recently, the Campus Charity Concert & Beijing Forestry University 2025 New Year Concert, co-organized by the China Art Foundation and Beijing Forestry University was held in Tian Ka Ping Gymnasium. Led by young conductor Yu Ji, the China Philharmonic Orchestra delivered an exceptional performance, captivating an audience of over 1,500 teachers, students, and alumni, enriching the campus's cultural spirit.

Opening with the powerful Ode to the Red Flag, the concert featured a diverse lineup of 10 symphonic masterpieces. From the ballet classics The Red Detachment of Women and Dance of the Little Swans to iconic film scores like The Magnificent Seven and The Sound of Music, as well as beloved songs Moon River and Big Fish, and the vibrant overture to Carmen, the music ranged from energetic and upbeat to serene and flowing. The performances immersed the audience in a dynamic musical journey, demonstrating the boundless charm of symphonic art.

A special aesthetic education was featured during the concert, using familiar melodies to highlight the distinctive sounds and qualities of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments. This interactive nature captivated the audience, offering them an engaging music appreciation class that combined the joy of live performance with a deeper understanding of classical music. The encore, "Can-Can," energized the room, with the audience clapping along to the lively rhythm, closing the concert in a jubilant and dynamic atmosphere.
