"CONVERGENCE·CO-CREATION" the 2nd International Academic Forum on Green and Sustainable Design (2022) “CONVERGENCE·CO-CREATION” was held on December 16 and 17 in Beijing Forestry University. 17 experts and scholars from University of Twente, University of Manhela Hazara, University of Pécs, Hungary, Chiba University, Academy of Arts&Deisgn, Tsinghua University, Central Academy of Fine Arts had a discussion on the subject "green and sustainable design" online. President An Lizhe attended the opening ceremony of the forum.
An Lizhe delivered a speech on the opening ceremny. He pointed out that Beijing Forestry University, as a international famous forestry universities, perisits in promotiong green and sustainable development as well as coexistence between human and nature playing a significant role in ecological conservation. He said the Belt and Road innitiative will contribute a lot to spurring global economic growth, improving the well-being of people around the world and building a community with a shared future for mankind. He hoped that the School of Arts and Deisgn would take this forum as an opportunity to establish an sustainable art&design education and research system as well as an ecological culture system in line with China's development characteristics, and actively explore the road of green design combining ecology, art and science and technology.
With the theme of "Convergence·Co-creation", the International Academic Forum on Green and Sustainable Design focused on the development of culture and art and sustainable design of "the Belt and Road", and put emphasis on the harmonious relationship between "art and technology, ecology and development, culture and exchange". The forum consists of two forums with "Convergence and Co-creation" as the topic and two seminars which were centered on "The Belt and Road" and cultural and artistic exchange and mutual learning as well as promoting rural revitalization through art and sustainable design education. The participating experts and scholars shared their thinking and latest achievements of different disciplines on the development of art and culture and sustainable design of "the Belt and Road" in green development and discussed the teaching and scientific research on China's green sustainable art design in the global context.
This forum is sponsored by the College of Arts and Design of BFU and Art Design Union of China Agriculture and Forestry Universities, and has been strongly supported by the Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and other associations and medias.
