According to the unified deployment of Beijing, the intensive vaccination of COVID-19 booster shots (the third dose) at BFU was comprehensively launched on November 19. The vaccination lasted three days, with a total of 15,363 doses of vaccine, including 14,681 booster shots.
All the university leaders completed the booster shots. During the vaccination, teachers and students lined up in front of the gymnasium and entered to get vaccinated in batches in an orderly manner, and all people wore masks and kept at least one meter apart according to the orders of on-site staff. Vaccine recipients should register and sign the informed consent before the vaccination, and stay in observation area for half-hour in case of the adverse reaction before leaving.
Comprehensive preparation was made and coordination meetings were held in order to ensure the successful implementation of the COVID-19 booster vaccination, including setting up a security team which was responsible for the design of vaccination area, material support, equipment preparation, etc., a student working group and a staff working group which were responsible for statistics and arrangement work. All working groups and teams worked together efficiently on their respective assignments, which provided favorable guarantee for the completion of vaccination.
The vaccination work received strong support from Haidian District Health Commission and medical support from Haidian Hospital and other medical institutions.
