As part of the campus-wide campaign “Building a Beautiful BFU through Our Shared Efforts” initiated by the Youth League Committee of the Beijing Forestry University, the “Youth Contribution to Campus Governance” Action Plan was officially launched and put online recently. The plan is mainly oriented to the class League branches in terms of the campus management, service perception and opinion feedback, aiming at drawing on the young students’ sense of responsibility and honor as owner of the University and in turn enhancing their awareness and appreciation of the school's management and service work. The activity is combined with the award evaluation and excellence work of the Vitality Youth League Branch, furthering the effective coverage of the league work, highlighting the effectiveness of the league and school work, and guiding the youth league members to contribute wisdom and strength to the construction and development of the school with the help of the participation of the grass-roots Youth League branch in campus service management.
Among the three types of actions, “Me: the Practitioner” is responsible for the voluntary service action of campus governance. Through recruiting campus service management volunteers to get engaged in the daily work of campus service management, such as campus epidemic prevention and control, food saving, sanitation and beautification, financial office, logistics support, etc., it is expected to nurture among the young college students a keen love for physical labor, a healthy way of living and a patriotic mindset, and finally improve their overall quality.
The “Me: the Experiencer” aims to tap into the role of the supportive departments in the University in education and talent cultivation by providing opportunities for the students to take personally part in corresponding work. Through the recruitment of campus service management experiencers who will actually go to various functional departments and see their daily operations, the students will get chances to broaden the channels of contact between functional departments and students, and strengthen communication between teachers and students; The “Me: the Information Collector” is gains to get timely feedback and exchange of opinions and suggestions. Taking advantage of the “ Qingting ” initiative, the students will have chances to sit down face to face with representatives from the various functional departments for unreserved exchanges of opinions on matters of common concern. The campus service management volunteers will serve as a platform for functional offices to communicate with students and in turn build a bridge for functional departments to communicate with students.
Since the launch of the plan, it has been warmly welcomed by the League branch of the class as well as the students. In a mere 5-day span, thousands of students from more than 350 League branches have participated in it, and the coverage of the activity is still expected to expand even further.
In cooperation with the University Security Department, campus volunteers are helping maintaining the orders at university entrances/exits as part of the Epidemic Prevention and Control mechanism.

It is reported that the “Youth Contribution to Campus Governance” Action Plan will also recruit campus service management experience staff to work with the functional departments and observe the department's work process. Organizational function department held open day activities to call on students to visit the campus functional offices on site to understand the actual situation of campus work; relying on the face-to-face discussion provided by the “ Qingting ” initiative, the functional department and student representatives will hold a wide range of discussions concerning campus service management. The purpose is to guide and mobilize the youth of the League members to participate in campus governance in an all-round, multi-form and three-dimensional way.
