第19届中国认知语言学国际论坛于2019年11月4-8日在北京举行，本次邀请到Martin Hilpert和Francisco José Ruiz de Mendoza Ibá?ez两位教授主讲，分别就建构语法理论和语言认知模型的建构做10场讲座，讲座分布在在北京航空航天大学、中国科学院大学、北京语言大学、江南的注册网址、北京大学举行。

主讲专家简介：
Martin Hilpertis Professor ofEnglish Linguistics at the University of Neuch?tel. He holds a PhD from Rice University and he did postdoctoral research at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley and at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies. He is interested in cognitive linguistics, language change, construction grammar, and corpus linguistics. He is the author ofGermanic Future Constructions(2008, John Benjamins),Constructional Change in English(2013, Cambridge University Press), andConstruction Grammar and its Application to English(2014, Edinburgh University Press). He is editor of the journalFunctions of Languageand associate editor ofCognitive Linguistics.
Francisco José Ruiz de Mendoza Ibá?ezis Professor in College of Humanities and Education at the University of La Rioja. He works on Cognitive Linguistics, Construction Grammar(s), inferential pragmatics and functional approaches to language. He has coordinated funded work on figurative language from scholars across Europe, many of them part of the Lexicom research group, which he co-founded (www.lexicom.es). He has published extensively on metaphor, metonymy, illocution, and has created, with professor Ricardo Mairal, the Lexical Constructional Model. 主讲内容摘要：
8:00-9:30 Hilpert 9: The upward strengthening hypothesis
We define grammaticalization as a specific type of change in the network of constructions. Upward Strengthening Hypothesis, in this case, pertains to how this new node is subsequently entrenched through the experience of language use.
9:40-11:10 Mendoza 9: Irony and cognition
As a common communicative phenomenon, verbal irony has received little attention in Cognitive Linguistics. In his lecture, we probe into verbal irony, based on a scenario-based approach. Results show verbal irony is capable of accounting for the relationship between its cognitive and communicative aspects.
