内容介绍：

克里斯蒂娜博士毕业于埃塞克斯大学，目前是埃塞克斯大学语言和语言学系副教授、英语教学硕士课程的主管，同时兼任该系的教学副主任。主要讲授《教师教育和发展》、《语言教学和学习的心理》等多门研究生课程。担任《语言学习心理新研究》、《洞悉语言焦虑：理论、研究和教育成果》等期刊的合作主编，并参与编写著作《管理你的情绪问卷》。

在此次讲座上，克里斯蒂娜博士将从教学框架、教学内容、基本要求和教学评价等方面重点介绍埃塞克斯大学英语教学专业硕士课程。另外，会参照该硕士专业的相关课程，如教学实践、语言教学和学习的心理等的课堂活动，开展一些小活动以带领大家切身体验该专业的实践。

Bio:

Dr. Christina Gkonou is Assistant Professor and MA TESOL Programme Leader in the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex, UK. She is also Deputy Director of Education in the same Department. She convenes postgraduate modules on teacher education and development, and on psychological aspects surrounding the foreign language learning and teaching experience. She is the co-editor ofNew Directions in Language Learning PsychologyandNew Insights into Language Anxiety: Theory, Research and Educational Implications, and co-author ofMYE: Managing Your Emotions Questionnaire.

Abstract:

In this talk I will present the MA TESOL course at the University of Essex, describing its structure and content, requirements, aims and assessment methods. I will then give a taster of topics and activities that are covered on the course, with a special focus on our modules ‘Teaching Practice 1’, ‘Teaching Practice 2’, and ‘Topics in the Psychology of Language Learning and Teaching’.
