Introduction to the subject
Since the 1950s, soil science of Beijing Forestry University has always been one of the major bases for the cultivation of advanced forestry soil talents and the research of forestry soil science. Since the establishment of Beijing Forestry College, soil teaching and research office, the predecessor of soil science, has been established. In the 1960s, the number of subject teachers once reached more than 20, and tried to establish a forest soil department. In 1986, it was approved by the academic degrees committee of the State Council as a master's program in forest soil science. In 1990, it was changed from forest soil science to soil science.
