Beijing forestry university is a national key university directly under the administration of the ministry of education and jointly established by the ministry of education and the state forestry administration. The history of the school can be traced back to the order of agricultural collin of the metropolitan university in 1902. 1952 the forestry department of Beijing agricultural university was merged with the forestry department of hebei agricultural university to form Beijing forestry college. In 1956, the department of landscape architecture of Beijing agricultural university and the department of architecture of tsinghua university were partly merged into the university. In 1960, it was listed as a national key institution of higher learning. In 1981, it became one of the first universities to confer doctor's and master's degrees. 1985 it was renamed Beijing forestry university. In 1996, it was listed as one of the first "project 211" universities. Approved by the ministry of education in 2000, the school was established in 2004. In 2005, I obtained the qualification of independent selection and admission of undergraduate students. In 2008, the university became the pilot university of the national construction project of "innovation platform of dominant disciplines". In 2010, it was jointly supported by the ministry of education and the state forestry administration. With the characteristics of forestry, biology and forestry engineering, ustb is a national key university with the coordinated development of agriculture, science, engineering, management, economics, arts, law and philosophy. The school has abundant scientific research strength and fruitful results.
