Students of International College Participated in a Series of "College Talent Gathering" Activities

Recently, students of International College of Beijing Forestry University were invited to participate in the Fan-painting and Peking Opera experience activities hosted by Xueyuan Road community to learn about Chinese culture and know more about the charm of China.

Moon-shaped fan, a traditional handicraft of Han nationality, represents unity, friendliness and good luck. After listening to the explanation, students chose their favorite pattern, blended with watercolor, and began to draw the fan. The students were in high spirits, some painting lotus fragrance, some painting sparrow on the branch, and others painting national beauty-peony. After the painting, everyone shared their works with each other, which was very rewarding..

Beijing Opera is listed as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage, which is yearned for by countless foreign friends. During the activity, the successors of Beijing Opera demonstrated the clothes and steps of different professions on the spot, and performed the classic section on the spot. Then, the students tried on the costumes of Beijing Opera and experienced the unique charm of the stage.

帕莎（来自巴基斯坦）：We had a great time with other Chinese participants in theactivity and wrapped up with a picture shoot. For me, cultural and historical activities are always fun and provide a lot of information. Thanksso much for providing us such enjoyable experiences.

卡卡（来自南苏丹）：According to my personal feelings I can say that the activity was very nice and I enjoyed it, I was entertained especially rolling of that spear and short stick, and the good thing is the trainer give a chance to students who like to try on the costumes.

本努尔（来自突尼斯）：This painting activity allowed me to discover the joy of my heart. A connection to my inner child, to my intuition and above all, to my creativity. It was a very enjoyable moment for me to detect my artistic side and therefore put my intention on the canvas. The feeling of cheerfulness overwhelmed me.Thanks a lot! I really had a pleasurable time, acquired a knowledge in a fascinating and friendly atmosphere.
