INTRODUCTION

11 international students alumni returned to school to share their learning and life experiences

       In the afternoon of December 10, the international alumni experience sharing meeting of Beijing Forestry University was warmly held. 11 alumni of Beijing Forestry University returned to the university to share their scientific research and life experience in school hours for Chinese and foreign students. They also enthusiastically answered the questions raised by the students in terms of employment and career planning. More than 30 international students and 12 Chinese students came to participate in the experience sharing meeting. The relevant person in charge of the international exchange and cooperation department presided over the meeting. The relevant person in charge of the Alumni Association and all members of the international student's office attended the event.

       After the host introduced the guests, a prepared  video of the alumni at school was played for the alumni, which evoked the collective memories of the alumni. After the video was played, Wang Ping, secretary-general of the Alumni Association, issued the Beijing Forestry University school badge to the alumni. The small school badge carries the feeling of belonging to the alma mater and is also the link for international students all over the world to link together in the future.

 Afterwards, the 2012 alumni SIRLUCK SUWANNAKUM from Thailand, the 2015 alumni SITI FATIMAH BINTI RAMLI from Malaysia and the 2015 alumni ZAR ZARWIN THEIN from Myanmar shared their school and work experience and valuable experience. They sent a message to the alumni, While strengthening academic ability, enhancing self-confidence, actively participating in the environment to deal with difficulties, and working hard to learn Chinese, Beijing Forestry University will always be their strongest support.

 

  Finally, the alumni started a Q&A session with everyone. They carefully answered the questions raised by the students present and gave guidance to the students in terms of academic and cross-cultural competence.

 

  During the experience sharing session, the alumni expressed their gratitude to BFU and offered advice and suggestions for the development of the alma mater. KHULAN MYAGMAR, a 2015 alumnus from Mongolia, said: "The alma mater is changing with each passing day. I am very envious of the current students in the school, that they can enjoy a better and better learning environment". I hope everyone will cherish it. DEBENDRA BHANDARI, a 2015 alumni from Nepal, said in the Q&A session that the English-taught program of Beijing Forestry University is the most suitable for international foresters. The knowledge he learned here has become the greatest knowledge supply in his career.

        Both Chinese and foreign students who participated in this sharing session have benefited a lot. Isaac, a student from South Africa, said: This is the best sharing session I have ever attended after enrollment. Thank you alumni for sharing their wonderful experiences and opinions. It’s the most intuitive experience introduction for students.

  It is reported that Beijing Forestry University has been committed to improving the quality and efficiency of international student education in recent years. It has cultivated a large number of high-quality green talents in the Asia-Pacific region and the Belt and Road Initiative countries.
