CHENG, born in May 1975, served as deputy secretary and vice president of the Party Committee (General Party Branch) of the College of Resources and Environment (now known as College of Environmental Science & Engineering) of Beijing Forestry University, deputy director of the Admission and Employment Office, executive director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Tree Breeding, director of the Office of the Leading Group of Finance and Economics, chairman of Beijing Linda Property Management Co., Ltd, and director of the Party and Administrative Affairs Office. He was appointed to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Beijing Forestry University in July 2021.

Chiefly responsible for finance, social services and comprehensive research, informatization and rule of law, he is directly in charge of Budget and Finance Office, Social Services and Integrated Research Office, Network Information Center, Legislative Affairs Office and Museum of Beijing Forestry University. He is also the designated university liaison to the School of Information Science and Technology, the School of Nature Conservation as well as the College of National Park.
