报告人简介
Iain Searle，博士，澳大利亚阿德莱德大学植物生殖生物学实验室主任和谷物健康联合研究中心主任。Searle 教授获得了昆士兰大学的BAgSci(荣誉)和博士学位。随后，在德国马克斯普朗克研究所(Max Planck Institute)和英国森宝利实验室(Sainsbury Laboratory)从事植物发育生物学研究。曾在Science, Nature Structural and Molecular Biology, Genes and Development 以及The Plant Cell等刊物上发表过多篇论文。获得居里夫人国际奖学金、惠康信托人学奖、ARC等奖学金。目前，Searle教授主要从事植物胚乳发育研究。

Biography
Dr. Iain Searle is Head of the Plant Reproductive Biology Laboratory and Director of the Joint Research Centre of Grains for Health at the University of Adelaide (Australia). He was awarded a BAgSci (Hons) and PhD from the University of Queensland after studying nodule development in legumes. After completing postdoctoral research in plant development at the Max Planck Institute in Germany and then in the Sainsbury Laboratory in the UK he returned to Australia. He first had a research group at the ANU and now has a research group at the University of Adelaide in the School of Biological Sciences. Previous awards include Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship, Wellcome Trust Value-in-People fellowship, an ARC fellowships. Iain has published papers in Science, Nature Structural and Molecular Biology, Genes and Development and The Plant Cell to name a few. His research interests are endosperm development and span Arabidopsis thaliana to cereals.
