Introduction: This course takes the introduction of Chinese human geography as its starting point of teaching and the "Chinese institutional culture" as its core. It is conditioned to "contemporary China" in terms of time, focusing mainly on the reform and opening period. As for the content, it is meant to introduce four parts to the students, namely, "China's (natural) conditions", "China's political system", "China's economy" and "China’s society". In brief, this course is aimed to let the students acquire a general knowledge of the changes of New China and that before and after the reform as well as the future development of China.
