Course: Microeconomics (2 credits)

Introduction: Microeconomics is the mandatory subject foundation course for the students majoring in economy and management. This course provides basic theories and methodologies for other courses of applied economics in the future. The goals of this course are to let students systematically handle the basic concepts, thinking, main methodologies, and theories of microeconomics. Students will have the capability to analyze economic problems and phenomena, which can pave the way to further study other economic and management courses and take up the related jobs. Main content: ten principles of economics, supply theory, demand theory, elasticity, cost of production, four types of markets (competitive market, monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition).
