Beijing Forestry University has operationalized 51 cutting-edge instruments purchased through national bond funding,advancing its Ministry of Education-endorsed "Ecological Civilization Talent Development Program.Coordinated by Teaching Affairs Office, these devices are revolutionizing practical teaching across fields like genetic engineering, AI, and ecological monitoring.

Interdisciplinary Platform Enhancements

The College of Forestry has integrated digital cell imaging systems and real-time PCR machines into shared platforms, boosting forest genetics research. The School of Landscape Architecture now employs ML-600i 3D Laser Scanner, Scan Eagle HS-120 Drone, and D20+DV-LIDAR 40 Airborne LiDAR System and other high-end equipments, creating an end-to-end smart design teaching system. Meanwhile, the College of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology uses automated protein analyzers to promote the interdisciplinary integration of biotechnology, biological science, food science, forestry and other disciplines.

Pedagogical Innovation

The School of Economics and Management launched a behavioral decision-making lab with VR/neuro-monitoring capabilities for experimental economics courses. The College of Engineering implemented digital twin technology to manage mechanical testing equipment lifecycle, aligning with GB/T 228.2-2015 "tensile test method for metallic materials at elevated temperature" standards through intelligent training programs.

Talent Development Initiative

Over 200 faculty and students have completed equipment training, mastering next-gen tools through hands-on drills, and AI intelligent design software and other virtual simulation systems already support 20+ courses in the School of Architecture and Landscape. It is reported that the second-phase procurement in 2025 will further integrate technological and ecological training, accelerating research-industry synergies for China’s green development goals.
