Improvements in the measurement and surveillance systems for forest and grassland carbon sinks, along with the establishment of market trading mechanisms, are crucial for propelling a green, low-carbon technological transformation, contributing to the realization of peak carbon and carbon neutrality goals.

Liu pointed out that achieving the diverse functions of forests necessitates a balanced approach to ecological protection and economic and social development. These initiatives will enhance the ecological, economic, and social values of forests, contributing to the building of a beautiful China.
